As Smith was beaten for the fourth or fifth time outside the off stump, Hughes turned to him in a rage, and said "Oi, arse wipe you are a s**t batsman, you can't f***ing bat!". After Robin crashed the next ball through the covers, he replied, "We make a great pair don't we. "What do you mean? retorted Merv!" "I can't f***ing bat, and you certainly can't f***ing bowl".
