To play quick bowling you must have courage, you must have that type
of the boxer attitude. You know you can get hit !!! But you are not
willing to trade the tunnel. You got to stand & you are going to fight
it.
And I start working on my cricket and I start saying to myself, hey
look !"If you are an opening batsman, you got to have that courage ,
to go & play against the quick bowlers.
And I learned a hell of a lot from the opposition, the likes of Sunny
Gavaskar, Mohinder
Amarnath,Ian
Chappell and these guys, you know I used to watch them how they
played against all odds. And then I used to watch the master blaster.
