3rd ODI: India v West Indies at Rajkot

Security problems had occurred at the previous two games also, so when bottles started to rain down on the boundary fielders at Rajkot, the West Indians had understandably had enough. Police tried to clear the stand of miscreants, but that was an exercise in futility, and when the West Indians communicated their unwillingness to continue, match referee Mike Procter awarded the game to India based on the Duckworth-Lewis system. An unfortunate end to what had really been a fine day's cricket.
