Phil Tufnell: It's a funny old game. . . sometimes (30 Aug)
As I think someone might have said before, cricket's a funny old game. Though what is quite so amusing
about being flayed around by some of the best batsmen in the world on one of the flattest pitches around

Jason Gillespie: Well played England, but now the aim is 4-1 (22 Aug)

Wallowing in nostalgia is a peculiarly English thing. It is possibly a sad reflection of our recent
sporting times, but we continue to invite scorn as a nation that is forever looking back rather than
moving forward. So we should all prepare for another blast from the past this week, as we approach the
20th anniversary of the most famous Ashes Test match that has been staged at Headingley.
Nasser Hussain: I wasn't overly impressed at having half a side (8 Jul)
I wanted another bat, to be honest. But I didn't mind too much when the Australians did not declare
in their second innings against Essex, to stop me having another bat or to rest their bowlers. It was
good to get another 120 overs in the legs the week before the Test and to see just how positive their
batsmen are going to be.
Darren Gough: Totally outplayed (9 Jul)
As England take stock after their first Test thrashing by Australia, Darren Gough insists they
must brush aside their Edgbaston humiliation and stay upbeat for the next Ashes clash.
