2005 Maccabiah Games
Cricket returns to the Maccabiah Games after a 8-year absence in style, both a senior and youth tournament will be played for the first time, and a record number of matches will be played, 24 in total at 4 grounds. Teams from five countries will compete in the senior tournament, Australia, England, India, Israel and South Africa, with Australia, England, Israel and South Africa contesting the U18 tournament. In a major boost to the tournament, ICC CEO Mr. Malcolm Speed will be visiting Israel during the games as well. A sizzling summer of cricket awaits both players and spectators.
