This Bengal tiger is made for big time. There are times, when Ganguly makes
us believe that he is indeed larger than life. His timing is so sweet that
the ball races to the cover fence in a hurry. He made his debut in the
Mecca of Test match cricket, Lord's in England. A remarkable innings of
131, punctuated with 20 glorious boundaries as he defied the English attack
and helped India post a big score. He followed his success in his first
Test match with another big hundred (136) in his second Test match at Trent
Bridge. He shared a big partnership of 255 for the third wicket with Sachin
Tendulkar. Ganguly couldn't have announced his arrival in big time cricket
in any better fashion.
