A remarkable innings of 131, punctuated with 20 glorious boundaries as he defied the English attack and helped India post a big score. He followed his success in his first Test match with another big hundred (136) in his second Test match at Trent Bridge. He shared a big partnership of 255 for the third wicket with Sachin Tendulkar. Ganguly couldn't have announced his arrival in big time cricket in any better fashion.
