Shane Bond, though, did his utmost to bring the Black Caps back into the game. Bowling with fire and control, Bond first scalped Virender Sehwag, who edged a fast delivery to Scott Styris at second slip. The New Zealand quick, then, removed Sourav Ganguly (3) with a fast, in-swinging yorker to leave India reeling at 9/2. Bond should have had another scalp, but wicketkeeper Brendon McCullum muffed the simplest of catches offered by Rahul Dravid. If that catch had been taken, India would have been 21/4; Sachin Tendulkar having earlier been removed by Daryl Tuffey.
