A sensible unbeaten 99-run partnership between Dravid and Yuvraj Singh took India to victory with more than four overs to spare. Dravid was at his efficient best, and with Yuvraj Singh in company, kept the scorecard moving with quick singles and twos. Yuvraj Singh recorded his 11th one-day fifty in the process, hitting half-a-dozen boundaries. So India registered an incredible win, much to the delight of thousands of fans at Centurion. Akthar for all his pre-match bravado went for 72 runs off his ten overs. Waqar Younis gave away 71 runs in 8 overs and six balls. India added one more win to their impressive World Cup record over Pakistan, making it four wins out of four in all World Cup games.
