After Nick Knight’s early dismissal, it was Nasser Hussain’s turn to keep Trescothick company. While being nowhere near as fluent as Trescothick, Hussain proved efficient during his 75 off 97 balls, an innings laced with six boundaries. It was his counterpart Heath Streak who bowled him, thereby preventing Hussain from getting a hundred as he had done in the NatWest finals at Lord’s.
