New on Wisden.com: enriched player pages with archive film clips
Wisden CricInfo staff - September 26, 2002

At Wisden Online we are always trying to improve the content that we offer, and there have been two big steps forward recently in our Player Pages. Most already have a specially written Wisden overview describing the player concerned. And now many of them have been enriched with classic clips from the British Pathe film archive, and even more have quick clicks through to a player's finest hours ... and his darkest days. So if you want to see what Don Bradman or WG Grace looked like, or why Jack Hobbs became known as The Master because of his elegant batting, then click on their names. For a full list of player pages with added film footage, click here. We'll be adding new clips all the time, so keep looking.

We have also gone through the careers of international cricket's most prominent players, and picked out the highlights - and lowlights - of their careers. The links take you through to the Wisden match reports and scorecards of the events concerned. So if you're a Mike Atherton fan, you can quickly find out full details of his epic 185 not out at Johannesburg. And non-fans can tut about Athers's pair at Melbourne in 1998-99, or the dirt-in-the-pocket incident from 1994.

With the Ashes tour approaching, diehard England supporters might want to cheer themselves up by looking at Adam Gilchrist's darkest days (yes, there are one or two). And Indian fans can remind themselves of Sunil Gavaskar's fabulous feats against West Indies, or the many magic moments in Sachin Tendulkar's career.
