Zimbabwe v West Indies 2000-01
Wisden CricInfo staff - October 8, 2002

At Harare, June 23. West Indies won by 27 runs. Toss: Zimbabwe. International debut: T. Taibu.
Streak resigned as Zimbabwe's captain before the match, claiming that the administrators and selectors persistently ignored his views. Vice-captain Whittall was unwilling to take over in these circumstances, so Grant Flower went out to toss at a moment's notice. In understandable disarray, Zimbabwe failed to use the advantageous bowling conditions properly, and the West Indian openers put on 113 without undue trouble. Chanderpaul backed them up with 51 in 46 balls. Zimbabwe never looked like making 267, even though the pitch had eased; the final margin was deceptive. Campbell played a solid anchor role but he needed a partner to share a major stand. Cuffy won the match award for his single spell of ten overs for 20 runs, despite not taking a wicket. Man of the Match: C. E. Cuffy.
