Wisden.com is going FREE! Wisden CricInfo staff - October 30, 2002
From November 1 we opened up our whole archive – all 139 years of it – for a limited period. Previously most of this was available only to Wisden.com subscribers. Why? Because we have recently introduced some fabulous features that we would like to show off. There's our Bodyline and other multimedia features, the Wisden Wizard, and our enriched player profiles. All that AND our acclaimed live match coverage. You'll also have free access to the Wisden archive, stretching back to the first Almanack in 1864. It includes scorecards and reports of every Test match and one-day international, with pictures, videos and intriguing links galore. All you have to do is register to have 139 years of cricket history at your fingertips. To become a Wisden member click here.
For those of you following the Ashes we have some more good news. We have teamed up with the Times Online to offer you the most comprehensive coverage available anywhere. All of Wisden's usual contributors, plus Christopher Martin-Jenkins and Shane Warne – available on the net, on your mobile phone, zapped to your PDA, or in your email inbox each morning. The choice is yours. At the end of every day's play we will be producing a daily newsletter to keep you up to date with all the latest happenings from Down Under. To sign up to have this delivered straight to your desktop click here.
The Times and Wisden have also developed a brand new voice-messaging service (V2M). At the end of each day's play in the Tests, Christopher Martin-Jenkins will send a two-minute report direct to your phone. For more details, click here.
And finally we will also be running an SMS text-messaging service, to give you those vital scores, and a brand-new PDA system, for those of you who don't want to go without cricket news at any time of day.
So please join us for a FREE multimedia cricket experience over the next three months! © Wisden CricInfo Ltd |
