Recently Sri Lanka set a record for the most runs in a day of Test cricket, with 509 against Bangladesh. What's the most runs scored in a single day of a Test without losing a wicket? asks Arnab Kumar Biswas from Pune There have only been about 20 occasions when a side has batted through an uninterrupted day's play of a Test match without losing a wicket. And the record number of runs scored in doing that is 357, by Conrad Hunte and Garry Sobers of West Indies against Pakistan at Kingston in 1957-58. On the second day they took the score from 147 for 1 to 504 for 1. Sobers was on the way to 365 not out, the Test-record score at the time, and Hunte made 260
