The green grass of home Wisden CricInfo staff - October 21, 2002
No cricketer likes to be labelled a homer, but the stats suggest that England's batsmen are exactly that. Only Nasser Hussain and Andrew Flintoff of their probable top seven average more overseas than at home, and the top six give away 81 runs per innings when they step on a plane. But the grass of home is not so green for England's bowlers: they all average less overseas.
