Zimbabwe v Bangladesh, 2000-01 Wisden CricInfo staff - October 9, 2002
At Harare, April 8. Zimbabwe won by 127 runs. Toss: Bangladesh.
A more closely cut pitch ensured better batting conditions, although the outfield remained slow. Bangladesh had learned their lesson and put Zimbabwe in, but the home batsmen weathered the first hour. Campbell advanced to his seventh one-day century for Zimbabwe, a record. He batted for 44 overs, striking eight fours and a six in 145 balls, and added 133 with Carlisle. It was clear a target of 231 was beyond Bangladesh's reach. After two early wickets, Javed Omar dropped anchor to carry his bat, but his team-mates, apart from the aggressive Naimur Rahman, had no answer to Zimbabwe's seamers and were dismissed with 19 overs remaining. During the brief ninth-wicket stand, the batsmen's names on the scoreboard read "Omar" and "Sharif".
