Zimbabwe v Bangladesh, 2000-01
Wisden CricInfo staff - October 9, 2002

At Harare, April 7. Zimbabwe won by seven wickets. Toss: Bangladesh. International debuts: D. D. Ebrahim; Mohammad Sharif. Bangladesh inadvertently signed their own death warrant and showed their inexperience by electing to bat on a grassy Harare Sports Club pitch, traditionally helpful to the bowlers in the first hour or so. When Strang and Streak reduced them to 15 for four, the contest was as good as over. But from 49 for six, Akram Khan and Mushfiqur Rehman added 64, a record for Bangladesh's seventh wicket, and further contributions of worth from the lower order took the total past 150. Zimbabwe were never challenged, but a heavy outfield and some rather laboured batting provided little entertainment for a moderate crowd.
Man of the Match: B. C. Strang.
