Lara's 25 made him the second West Indian, after Desmond Haynes, to pass 7,000 one-day international runs. Kirsten and Dippenaar, in his first international innings of the tour, effectively determined the result with a second-wicket stand of 96; when Kirsten was out for 72, Rhodes rounded the match off with a flourish.
