Ashes-winning partnership
Wisden CricInfo staff - November 1, 2002

Wisden.com has joined forces with the Times Online for the duration of the Ashes tour, to provide an even better service across a variety of media formats. On the site, in addition to our regular bulletins, verdicts and 20:20 statistics, there will be match reports from The Times's awardwinning cricket correspondent Christopher Martin-Jenkins, plus analysis from Ashes legends Shane Warne and Ian Healy. There is also a range of SMS text alerts, PDA services and e-mail bulletins.

You will be able to access all Wisden.com's content - the whole site is free for a limited period from November 1 - and you will also have access to the Times Online's Ashes coverage without charge, although you will need to register for both sites. Don't worry - it won't cost you anything and should take less than 30 seconds.

Sign-up with Times Online

We will be following the Ashes series as it happens, with regular bulletins and a ball-by-ball scorecard. After the close of play there will be the authoritative Wisden Verdict, while the Times site will carry CMJ's review of the day.

If you want, you can sign up for a daily newsletter, which will be sent to your e-mail inbox in time for your arrival in the office.

We have also developed a new voice-messaging service (V2M). Every day of the Test series, Christopher Martin-Jenkins will report direct to your phone. His two-minute message will be sent direct to you at 8am (GMT; times may vary slightly depending on when play actually ends).

And finally, Wisden and the Times Online will also be running an SMS text-messaging service to give you scores at lunch, tea and end of play - or just the final score, if you don't want updates through the night. There's also a PDA system, for those of you that don't want to go without cricket news at any time of day.

So sit back and enjoy what we hope will be a fantastic - and close - series.
