Hampshire choose 11 for Championship trip to Headingley
Victor Isaacs - 22 May 2002
Hampshire name just 11 for their fifth Frizzell County Championship match of the season, travelling to Headingley to face bottom-of-the-table Yorkshire (Friday 24 May to Monday 27 May).
John Crawley returns from England's drawn Lord's Test with Sri Lanka and replaces Lawrence Prittipaul in the only change to the side that held out at Edgbaston last weekend.
Of the recent Hampshire injuries, James Schofield returned to action for the second XI last Monday, taking five wickets to decimate Glamorgan. Alex Morris, who batted in that match and the 2nd XI Championship game against Surrey, striking two half-centuries, will attempt some net bowling in the coming week.
Adi Aymes has now recovered from his operation and is seeking match fitness before returning to the first XI.
Team: Derek Kenway, Will Kendall, John Crawley, Robin Smith (capt), Neil Johnson, Giles White, Nic Pothas (wk), Dimitri Mascarenhas, Shaun Udal, Chris Tremlett, Alan Mullally.
