Experienced or overseas female coach and player opportunity at Warwickshire
Media Release - 7 March 2002

Girls and women's cricket is one of the fastest-growing sports in the country and Warwickshire is definitely a reflection of this with over 80 players in the female winter development squads.

Here at Warwickshire we have a senior women's team that enters the national county championships each year with reasonable success. But to further boost the squads potential we are looking to enlist in the help of a more experienced cricketer, perhaps an overseas player who could augment our cricket programme.

The successful applicant would need to be available, from June onwards, and will be based in Birmingham to play and coach the senior and/or junior teams during the Summer. There may also be opportunities to join the summer holiday coaching staff and to run 1:1 sessions. In return the applicant will gain invaluable experience of cricket in England not to mention operating alongside some of the best coaches in the country whilst working in England's top cricket facility, the Edgbaston Cricket Centre.

Interested applicants should send their cricket cv and covering letter to Richard Cox, Director of Cricket, The County Ground, Edgbaston, Birmingham, B5 7QU or email to richardcox@thebears.co.uk. If you require further information please use the above contacts or telephone +44 (0)121 446 3615.
