Day/Night game is likely to be a Sell-Out
Vic Isaacs - 20 July 2002
Advanced ticket sales for Hampshire Cricket's Day/Night game on Tuesday 23rd July has been "exceptional" according to the Club's commercial and marketing director Samantha White.
Scheduled to begin at 4.10pm, and finishing at 10:20pm, the match against Lancashire Lightnings is proving to be one of the highlights of the 2002 fixtures, with up to 6,000 expected to attend.
"There will be a few tickets available 'on the gate' but we anticipate that these will be limited and are therefore advising people to obtain tickets in advance in order to avoid disappointment on the evening." said Samantha White "The membership and ticket office will open throughout the weekend and on Monday and Tuesday from 9am to 5pm.
In view of the increased spectator numbers, Hampshire Cricket have been working closely with both the local authority and Hampshire Police to ensure good traffic management. The Club has also been in close contact with local residents and neighbours to minimalise disruption and inconvenience from the increased traffic and the floodlights.
