Ground capacity at Newlands Cricket Stadium has been increased ahead of the opening of booking at 09h00 SA Time tomorrow (Monday 15 July) for the ICC Cricket World Cup 2003 in South Africa.

Dr Ali Bacher, Executive Director of the ICC CWC organising committee, announced today that a further 1 100 packages for Newlands will be available to the general public. It was announced earlier that 1 900 packages were still available at Newlands – but this has now been increased through the creation of temporary seating to 3 000.

Tickets go on sale tomorrow in packages, 60% of which will be available at the ICC CWC venues, 20% via the ticketing hotline (083 123 2003) and 20% via the internet (www.cricketworldcup.com).
