Warwickshire today confirmed completion of a playing contract with Australian pace bowler Damien Fleming for a 2 week period as cover for current overseas player Shaun Pollock, who will be taking part in the ICC Champions Trophy in Sri Lanka from September 12 to 30.

Damien is widely acknowledged as one of Australia's most consistent, reliable and underestimated bowlers of the last decade playing in 20 Test Matches and 88 One Day Internationals between 1994 and 2001.

Warwickshire will be able to call upon Damien's services for the Frizzell County Championship matches against Yorkshire at Edgbaston and Sussex at Hove, as well as the Norwich Union League games against Yorkshire at Edgbaston under floodlights and the final fixture of the season against Glamorgan at Cardiff.

Edgbaston's Chief Executive Dennis Amiss said "We are delighted to have been able to attract Damien here to join Warwickshire for the final few weeks of the season, and we are sure that a player of his calibre and experience will play a massive role in our push for success."
