Lancashire County Cricket Club is delighted to announce that the forthcoming England v Sri Lanka One Day International at Old Trafford is an 18,500 sell out. Advance sales for the match, which takes place on Sunday 7th July, have been buoyant for some time and were boosted by England's dramatic win in Manchester last month in the 3rd npower Test against Sri Lanka.

Sales and Marketing Manager, Geoff Durbin said; "We are very pleased with the response that we have received from the North West's cricketing supporters, especially as the match is competing with the Wimbledon Men's Final and the British Grand Prix for viewers."

Durbin continued; "When you consider that in the last 3 weeks, we will have hosted 6 days of England v Sri Lanka cricket, plus another match taking place only 40 miles down the road at Headingley, to fill the ground on Sunday is an excellent achievement. Let's hope that the spectators are rewarded with yet another thriller at Old Trafford"

For those who are unable to attend, the match will be broadcast live on Sky with highlights on Channel 4.
