Pakistan v Sri Lanka ODI 2000-01
Wisden CricInfo staff - January 1, 2002

At Gymkhana, Nairobi, October 8. Pakistan won by nine wickets.
Toss: Sri Lanka.
A potentially intriguing fixture declined into a Pakistan procession. For Sri Lanka, dismissed 26 balls inside the distance, only Jayasuriya threatened to set up any kind of score as he bludgeoned 39 from 41 balls, including two square-cut sixes off Wasim Akram and another pulled off Azhar Mahmood. Arnold's 38, by contrast, was one of the slowest innings of this free-scoring competition. On the small Gymkhhana Club ground, Sri Lanka's total of 194 was indefensible, and only one Pakistan batsman fell in the chase. Saeed Anwar's match-winning six brought up his 18th one-day hundred, and surely one of his easiest.

Man of the Match: Saeed Anwar.
