In his 98th match, Darren Gough took his 150th one-day wicket when he dismissed Anil Kumble. He is the first Englishman to achieve the feat, and the 29th in all.
Javagal Srinath was playing in his 200th one-day international. He is the fifth Indian to play as many, after Mohammad Azharuddin (334), Sachin Tendulkar (282), Kapil Dev (225) and Anil Kumble (217).
Michael Vaughan's half-century was his first in eight ODIs. His previous-highest was 26, against Sri Lanka at Colombo's Premadasa Stadium in 2000-01.
