Wellington bowling too good for Otago in Dunedin
Lynn McConnell - 7 January 2002
Wellington's tight and accurate bowling set them up for a comfortable 61-run win over Otago in their State League match at Logan Park in Dunedin today.
Batting first, Wellington scored 133/9, a score Otago were happy to chase, especially after picking up the key wickets of Anna O'Leary and Maia Lewis cheaply.
Losi Harford scored 20, the same score as Anna Corbin for Wellington. Kirsten Spence took four for 23 with her medium pacers while Rachel Pullar took three for 21.
However, Otago could manage only two players in double figures, Pullar (25) and Katey Martin (13) and they were dismissed in the 29th over for 72. Amanda Cooper took three for 19.
