Freddie's first four-for
Wisden CricInfo staff - February 23, 2002
Andrew Flintoff took 4 for 17, his best one-day figures in his 34th match. His previous-best was 3 for 38, against India at Mumbai in January.
Darren Gough took a two-handed blinder at third man to dismiss Nathan Astle, a catch reminiscent of the one he took off West Indies' Keith Arthurton at Lord's in 1995. On that occasion Gough was at long leg, as Arthurton is a left-hander. Gough enjoys fielding against the West Indies at Lord's: in 2000 he took a diving, match-turning catch at third man to remove Sherwin Campbell.
When Chris Cairns dismissed Nasser Hussain, he became the second New Zealander, and the 30th in all, to take 150 one-day wickets. Chris Harris (185) is the other Kiwi to reach the milestone.
Michael Vaughan made 59, his second fifty in his 13th one-dayer.
Vaughan and Graham Thorpe added 89, England's highest fourth-wicket partnership in one-dayers in New Zealand. The previous-best was 83, by Allan Lamb and Robin Smith at Christchurch in 1982-83.
