Hampshire Young Cricketers Annual Awards dinner

| Mitchell Stokes, Martin Bushell and Alex Richardson had every reason to smile after carrying off some of the principal awards as Hampshire's Young Cricketers celebrated arguably their most successful ever season at a pre-Christmas dinner at the Rose Bowl on December 16th.
The awards were presented by John Stanley, Director of Numerics plc (Southampton), who sponsored the awards.
The Young Hawks were finalists in the ECB Under-19 Championship, quarter-finalists at Under 17-level and runners up in the Seven Counties Under 16 County competition.
Stokes, the teenage Basingstoke and North Hants all-rounder, was named Under-16 player of the year, with Richardson picking up a top performance award after scoring a highest-ever 147 against Essex in the summer.
Bushell, one of the seven Hampshire Academy students, was named Under-19s Player of the Year.

Performance award : Michael Barnes
Player's Player : Matt Metcalfe
Under 19s - Player of the Year : Martin Bushell
