New Coaching Structure for Kent Cricket
Kent CCC Media Release - 28 August 2002

Kent County Cricket Club today announced changes to its coaching structure which will take effect from 1st September 2002.

Chris Stone, currently 2nd X1 Coach, will be taking up the newly created post of Youth Director with responsibility for the development of all Kent's Youth squads and the identification of young talent throughout the clubs and schools in the county.

Simon Willis, currently Head of Cricket Operations, will take over the role of 2nd X1 Coach, a role which will carry with it the responsibility of bringing the new Kent Cricket Academy to fruition in April 2003.

Commenting on the changes Ian Brayshaw, Kent's Director of Cricket said:

"I am delighted to be able to announce these two appointments. Both Chris and Simon are totally committed to Kent cricket and the creation of their new roles highlights the club's determination to continue to develop cricketers of the highest calibre from the club's and schools within the county of Kent."
