Jacobs bounces back
Wisden CricInfo staff - April 28, 2002

West Indies have recalled wicketkeeper Ridley Jacobs and fast bowler Pedro Collins for the third Test matchagainst India, which starts in Barbados on Thursday.

Jacobs scored an unbeaten 55 for the Busta XI in the three-day tour game against the Indian tourists in St Lucia, and replaces Junior Murray, who managed just one run in the first two Tests.

India lead the five-match series 1-0 following their 37-run victory at Port-of-Spain in Trinidad last week. The opening Test at Georgetown in Guyana was drawn.

The Trinidad legspinner Dinanath Ramnarine is the only slow bowler in the squad. Ramnarine gave a good account of himself in the three-day match, capturing 4 for 49 off 23 overs to help dismiss the Indians for 150 in the first innings. He comes in for Mahendra Nagamotoo, who was injured in a road accident on Friday. He has so far taken 45 wickets in 12 Tests.

Collins, a lively left-armer who has taken 20 wickets in eight Tests, replaces Marlon Black.
