Good wishes from New Zealand
Vicky - 10 April 2002
Hi, my name is Vicky or "Half Pom" as some members of the Barmy Army may remember me.
I am from New Zealand, and I had the pleasure of sharing the Hamilton Cricket Ground with the lovely people from England. I'd like to say thank you very much for the wonderful experience.
Ajay and I are very faithful cricket watchers, whether it's a live game (actually getting up and going to see it) or just lounging on the couch and watching it on TV. Over the last, oh I don't know, months, weeks, Ajay and I have been watching the Black Caps vs. England matches and have rung each other up when we hear the oh so familiar chorus of "Here we go, here we go, here we go" or just the loud voices of the English supporters. Many a time the words of "He's got a pizza on his head" has been stuck in our minds, so much so, that people give us funny looks as we sing the lines over and over again while walking down the street.
Really there is no point to this email other than the fact that we want you to remember us, and to let you know you guys have made an impact! Congrats to the Barmy Army as you guys make the cricket watching experience much betta!
Come visit us in Kiwi land again soon.
Cheers
Vicky aka Half Pom
