The KwaZulu-Natal Primary Schools u/13 USSASA Cricket Festival was held from 21 to 23 September 2001 in the Durban Central area.

Over 200 of the best players representing the various USSASA Regions and Districts were on show at this prestigious event. At the end of the festival a squad was selected to attend further tials where the MTN KZN teams will be finalised.

One team will be participating in the Standard Bank u/13 USSASA Cricket Week from 10 to 14 December to be held in Durban while the other will take part in the USSASA u/13 Summer Games which is to be held from the 7 to 12 December in Cape Town.

The fixtures, which are limited to 45 overs per side, were as follows:

Midlands 1 vs Durban Central 1 at DPHS 1
Midlands 2 vs North Coast at Kingsmead Oval
North Durban 1 vs Durban South 1 at Northlands
North Durban 2 vs Durban Central 2 at DPHS 2
Durban South 2 vs KZN Development 2 at George Campbell
Botswana vs Pinetown 2 at Crusaders 2
KZN Development 1 vs KZN Northerns 2 at Clifton
