Imran: sort it out before you destroy cricket
Wisden CricInfo staff - November 27, 2001

Imran Khan, one of the subcontinent's greatest players, has called on the Indian board and ICC to sort out their differences in the Denness/Sehwag affair, or risk seeing cricket destroyed. "It's time to compromise really," Imran told the BBC, "because world cricket cannot afford a split. There are just not enough teams. You don't want a row to get out of all proportions."

Imran, who led Pakistan to victory in the 1992 World Cup before retiring to take up a career in politics, added: "It already has gone too far. The Indian board needs to sit down with ICC and they just need to sort this out. [Otherwise] it's going to destroy cricket."
