Buy today and have a beautiful year Wisden CricInfo staff - November 16, 2001
In April 2001 Wisden Cricket Monthly launched a competition to find Britain's Loveliest Ground. This event, thought to be the first of its kind in the cricket world, was open to public nominations and any cricket ground could be entered. The best entries have now been made into a calendar which demonstrates the strange and wonderful relationship cricket has with the setting in which it is played, be it village green or the shadow of a castle. The nominations included famous cricketing beauty-spots such as Arundel, Lynton and Lynmouth, but the winner, in the opinion of the judges, was Keswick in the Lake District. All these grounds and more have now been captured on the WCM Loveliest Ground Calendar 2002. The calendar will give a year's pleasure to any cricket fan and makes the ideal Christmas gift. Printed in full colour on quality paper and opening out to A3 size, the calendar shows a different ground for each month. Please note that the days are left blank for your appointments - this is not the WCM International Calendar 2001-02, which shows the big cricket dates of the season. The Loveliest Ground Calendar costs just £12.50 sterling plus £1.50 UK p&p/£2.50 Airmail EU. Please order now to avoid disappointment, as numbers are limited. To order
