Adi Aymes declares £174,995 benefit

At the Hampshire AGM today (Monday) long serving wicket-keeper batsman Adi Aymes received from new chairman Rod Bransgrove a benefit cheque of £174,995.
Adi whose benefit Adi2000 started with the first match of the Millenium at Broadhalfpenny Down, Hambledon and coincided with the last season at Northlands Road, thanked the members present, the Hampshire County Cricket Club, and his committee for their tremendous support.
The benefit cheque, the third largest in the club's history, will help secure his future, be he intimated to the 400 strong membership that he was far from retiring, and looked forward to the season ahead, starting with the flight to South Africa for pre-season competition tommorrow.
