Razzaq homeward bound, Mohammad Akram to replace Lynn McConnell - 12 March 2001
Yet another Pakistan player will be returning home from the tour of New Zealand. All rounder Abdur Razzaq is understood to have suffered food poisoning as the result of eating oysters and has not recovered as quickly as anticipated. He has been advised that a change of atmosphere and 10 days rest are needed for him to recover. He will return home and be replaced by Mohammad Akram, who last played Test cricket a year ago. He has played eight Test matches and has taken 17 wickets at 44.0 in his career. His best bowling is five for 138. © CricInfo
