Slater throws tantrums, gets away with a warning

Australian opener Michael Slater on Thursday threw tantrums questioning a
negative verdict on his appeal for having caught Indian vice-captain Rahul
Dravid and was lucky to get away with just a warning.
Slater got into heated verbal exchanges with umpire S Venkatraghavan and Dravid and created unruly scenes after his appeal was denied.
Slater claimed to have picked up a low catch, just inches above the ground but after television replays proved inconclusive, third umpire Narendra Menon gave the benefit of doubt to the batsman who was batting on 22.
Match referee Cammie Smith of the West Indies told reporters that Slater had been warned for his behaviour.
