Lou Vincent
Wisden CricInfo staff - June 26, 2001
Wisden overview Reared in Australia but an Aucklander since his mid-teens, Lou Vincent shot to prominence at Perth in November 2001, scoring the sixth century by a New Zealander on debut, against the most potent attack in world cricket, and on the most intimidating of surfaces. Remarkably it was also his first innings as an opener in first-class cricket. A fleet-footed batsman with blazing strokes, and a part-time wicketkeeper, he had already formed a potent close-in fielding partnership with Chris Harris in one-day internationals. Don Cameron
