Stuart Law
Wisden CricInfo staff - June 26, 2001
Wisden overview Instead of the substantial Test career that he would surely have had in another era or another country, Stuart Law has had to content himself with a more eclectic and quirky, but nonetheless admirable, contribution to the game. He made an unbeaten half-century in his only Test, denying himself an average. He played in a World Cup final. Most memorably, in 1994-95 he captained Queensland to their first Sheffield Shield title after more than 60 years of waiting. He has added two more since. A tall batsman with a classic technique, a predilection for front-foot play and an attitude that niceties can wait until after stumps, Law has been a prolific runmaker for Queensland and Essex.
