Carl Rackemann
Wisden CricInfo staff - June 19, 2001
Wisden overview But for chronic injuries and his decision to go on two rebel tours of South Africa, Carl Rackemann would have played many more than 12 Tests for Australia. Tall, blond and strong (but with skinny legs), Rackemann was a genuinely fast bowler with an open action who landed the ball relentlessly on the seam and gained disconcerting bounce. He was invaluable in one-day cricket. His dry sense of humour endeared him to all. Asked once why Queensland hadn't won the Sheffield Shield yet, he replied: "Because the season's not finished!" He is now coaching Zimbabwe. Greg Baum
