Lindsay match referee for India-Zimbabwe series
4 June 2001

Zimbabwe's two Test match series against India will be refereed by South Africa's Denis Lindsay, the former Springbok wicketkeeper batsman, the ICC said in a press release on Monday.

International panel umpire Daryl Harper of Australia will stand with Russell Tiffin in the first match in Bulawayo (June 7 to 11). Sri Lanka's Asoka De Silva will officiate with home umpire Ian Robinson in the second Test in Harare (June 15 to 19). This will be Asoka's first overseas match since joining the ICC panel during the recent series in Sri Lanka against England.

Lindsay, 62 will also referee the seven One Day Internationals in the triangular series which follows the Test series. India, West Indies and Zimbabwe are the competing teams.
