Injury interrupted a fast-bowling career which was faltering because hedelivered from too wide on the crease. Cameron Cuffy was predictable, and may still be short of the yard or two of pace that would make him a real threat in a Test. But he has always been accurate, and his second coming brought consistent improvement. Maintaining fitness levels had been difficult - he suffered a series of foot and shoulder injuries - but now he loves the gym. He's one of those who never tire of learning, and, despite his intimidating 6ft 7ins frame and aggression on the field, he is a gentle, amiable soul. Vaneisa Baksh
