Rajesh Chauhan
Wisden CricInfo staff - July 5, 2001
Wisden overview A bowling average touching 40 is not flattering, but as part of the spin trio that bowled India to their most successful run in Tests, Rajesh Chauhan did his job well. His ability to bottle up an end up with his steady offspin over long spells provided the perfect foil to the destructive Anil Kumble. India won 12 of the 21 Tests Chauhan played. A question-mark over his bowling action cost him his place in the Test squad, and although he staged a comeback he was never quite the same bowler again. He has ploughed on in the domestic circuit, and captained Madhya Pradesh with limited success in 2000-01. S Rajesh
