Pakistan v Sri Lanka 1999-2000
Wisden CricInfo staff - July 5, 2001

At Lahore, February 19. Sri Lanka won by 104 runs. Toss: Pakistan. International debut: Faisal Iqbal.

The Sri Lankans wrapped up the series 3–0 with a cakewalk win, even though Pakistan's bowlers, with Abdur Razzaq and Wasim Akram to the fore, kept the tourists' strong batting line-up under 250 for the first time. However, Pakistan's own batting never threatened Sri Lanka's total, losing five for 60 by the 22nd over. Saeed Anwar, whose 200th one-day international this was, came under fire for inserting Sri Lanka in all three games, while Pakistan's policy of blooding youngsters, albeit forward-thinking, met with only limited success. Atapattu passed 50 for the third time in the series to aggregate 253 runs at 126.50.

Man of the Match: M. S. Atapattu. Man of the Series: M. S. Atapattu.
