Peterson brings down Free State Eagles CricInfo Reporter - 9 December 2001
Robin Peterson's all-round value to the Eastern Province Jumbos was underlined in a 16-run Standard Bank Cup victory over the Free State Eagles at Goodyear Park on Sunday. Peterson top-scored with 38 out of 203 for seven for the Jumbos after the visiting team had been asked to bat and then, after former West Indian captain Jimmy Adams's 62 appeared to have set up victory for Free State, Peterson's left-arm spin caused havoc in the middle and lower order. He took three wickets in the last over of the innings to finish with five for 30 as the Eagles were restricted to 187 for nine in their 45 overs. © CricInfo
