Dunedin junior selectors happy
Steve Davie - 4 December 2001
The Dunedin junior selectors are patting themselves on the back after the result of the pre-District Under-15 tournament match between the two metropolitan sides.
Batting first, Dunedin Blue reached an imposing 257 before the compulsory declaration, Michael Higgs making 71 and N Cape 77. The addition of 66 extras inflated the score significantly. D George was the best of the Dunedin Gold bowlers with 3-45.
In reply the Gold team was routed for just 56, Graham Taylor taking 2-5 and Cape 3-9.
North Otago and Central Otago will play their pre-tournament match shortly with all teams then meeting in the tournament in Alexandra on December 12, 13 and 14.
