Hampshire Under-16s are effectively out of the hunt for the honours in the Seven Counties Championship after a 402-run mauling from Somerset at Burridge. Basingstoke's Mitchell Stokes (3-76) was the only bowler to emerge with credit as Somerset piled up 402-8, before bowling Hampshire out for 156 to earn a first innings victory.

Locks Heath all-rounder Mike Boyd (42) and Andover's Steve Williams (39) top scored for Hampshire, who followed on, reaching 152-6, with Graham Noble (48), Stokes (29) and Williams (27) among the runs.
