A TIE TO REMEMBER - Hampshire v Australia, 2001 Richard Binns - 27 August 2001
To mark Hampshire's win over the Australians, a souvenir tie has been produced. It incorporates the distinctive colours of Australia's famous "Baggy Green" cap and Hampshire's Navy blue separated by a yellow stripe. Approval from the ACB was obtained by Richard Binns, the Hampshire Shop manager, to set the modern Aussie logo alongside the classic Hampshire crest in his stylish design for this "one-off" tie. In production this week, the tie was available in time for the Norwich Union one-day game against Lancashire on the 27th of August.

For all those who were also present to enjoy that special day at the Rose Bowl, the tie will be on sale (£9.00) in the Hampshire Shop, or can be obtained direct from Carol at Hampshire County Cricket Club. © Hants CCC
