Australia's Simon Katich will make his Test debut in place of the injured Steve Waugh in the fourth Ashes Test against England, which starts at Headingley on Thursday.

Australia on Tuesday named the following team for the match:

Adam Gilchrist (captain), Michael Slater, Matthew Hayden, Ricky Ponting, Mark Waugh, Simon Katich, Damien Martyn, Shane Warne, Brett Lee, Jason Gillespie, Glenn McGrath. 12th man: Justin Langer
